Tracking steps on treadmill

I use a treadmill every morning and have slowly worked up to 45 minutes walking every day. However my Versa Lite only shows 320 steps after I’ve finished. Can anyone help?  I’m obviously doing something wrong.

@Rieleyace Are you holding on to the rails or the bar of the treadmill?  Your arm with the watch needs to be moving with the pace of your feet/legs.

Be careful if holding on.

Doing so can

  • Cause repetitive knee injury
  • Unteach balance
  • Burns less calories
  • There are another 8-10 reasons to not hold on.

It is better and safer to slow down and not hold on. Usually resulting in a higher calorie burn. The body needs to do more work, both physically and with reflexes.
