Treadmill steps not accurate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I need help please. It doesn't seem my versa lite is tracking my steps on the treadmill correctly.

The steps that are tracked on the treadmill are so much more so is the distance then it is on my versa..

Why would it be tracking incorrectly...

Is there anyone that could assist me with this please. I'd truly appreciate it

If you are holding hand rail with fitbit hand, steps probably will not be counted, also reducing distance.

Solutions: let fitbit arm swing freely;  put fitbit in pocket to get better step count and distance but lose all heart rate data; or continue as is, knowing calorie burn is based on heart rate so is still good even without steps.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Good luck. I have been trying to get mine to measure treadmill steps accurately and it won't. It's so frustrating because this is the reason I wanted a smart watch in the first place.
