Tricks to charging versa

Just received a Brand new Versa.  Just took it out of the box and had it sitting charging, or so I thought.   Nope.  Still barely charged.  It doesn’t show it’s charging unless I squeeze the charger sides.   Almost like it isn’t making the connection?   Any tricks before I have to return it?  Thanks!

It does take mine some wiggling to get it seating properly, but generally it's a quick wiggle and after that it charges fine.
