I go to settings ->Brighten-> . and it's on "Dim" . I swipe up and down and nothing happens . I notice the "Dim" is grayed out

Finally, a real solution to the greyed out dim option. Tips menu worked! Thank you.

I have the same problem. Sleep mode is off.
