Unable to change pool length with Versa Lite

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I swim regularly in a 50m pool and I have a Versa Lite.

Yes it does pick up that I'm swimming but I'm realising

a) I am unable to change the pool length to 50m - it assumes I am in a 25m pool therefore my distance is way off

b) There is no swimming option under all the exercises

Can anyone confirm or deny?

thanks

ST

Hi @SylvesterT - if you choose a Swim exercise on the watch there is a gear icon on the top right where you should be able to change pool length.

Not tested, but once set it may work for auto recognition too.

@SylvesterT- strange - see What exercise modes are on the Fitbit Versa Lite?

Double check what shows in the Fitbit App, click the Exercise tile,m then the gear icon and see if it auto recognises.

I’ve had it for a year and can assure you there is no swimming on the exercise tile.

@SylvesterT  - the answer to your question is then no, you can't set lengths without the exercise.

It is odd, as both Versa and Versa 2 have it and it is quoted in the link. But it may be missing, like floors on this watch.

You may have to factory reset it, but be aware there are risks doing that as it can destroy the watch, not to mention it requires a new setup.

Perhaps you can chat first via the Fitbit App, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support. They can confirm the situation and provide 1 to 1 help.

Thanks - I have contacted them and they have confirmed that "swim" exercise is not available in versa lite.

I'm going to upgrade to an Apple Watch I think!

Thanks for your help.

@SylvesterT- I since found this link - which allows you to change the units but not the length - How do I track swims with my Fitbit device?

Welcome to the Community, @SylvesterT@Guy_ Thanks for your great help.

@SylvesterT Thanks for the detailed information, and the steps tried prior to posting. As you were told, let me explain that when using the Versa Lite, you can record your swim activities only when using SmartTrack, as it's not an option available on the Exercise app. For this reason, while you can adjust the unit, it's not possible to adjust the pool length.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused, and I appreciate your feedback. Please know we'll keep working to improve our devices, as well as the experience with them.
