Unable to complete new Update

I’ve been trying all week to do this update for my Versa Lite. It gets to about 16% and the update completely fails. I have full internet connection. The watch is fully charged. I left my phone and watch right next to eachother. Any suggestions? The watch is practically brand new. Thank you all!

Does it fail when the phones screen turns off? I'm taking a guess since I see no mention of the phone which is the source of your problem.

No the screen shutting off my phone doesn’t seem to be the problem. I’ve had it fail while using my phone. It’s an iPhone 6plus. Every time it gets to around 16% and just fails. Whether I’m using the phone or not. I make sure to keep it nice and close to the watch. I’ve tried while the watch is charging and not charging. Internet is working fine. I’ve tried everything. Thanks

I thought the screen timed out and would shut off during the update. 

So does the failure occur when the phone screen shuts off? 

After starting the download, do you move the Fitbit app to the background? 

I font know much about iOS but on Aandroid, and I'm told iOS if app is in foreground, update fails when phone locks.
