Versa won't charge

Hey, I went to charge my versa this morning and it won't charge at all won't turn on as the battery is flat! I've had it on charge since I've woken and it hasn't done anything! 

Could anyone recommend or suggest anything I could do thank you

A piece of paper and isopropyl alcohol to clean the contacts. 

I'm not sure how dead the battery is but I've seen it take a couple of hours on the charger before any life showed.

My Versa had a white screen & then was turned black. There was no clock face either & the battery light was blinking. I plugged my Versa in to charge & nothing has happened so far. It is strange because on my phone, it had my Versa’s battery at medium strength. If nothing happens, then I might try removing this device & then restarting it from the beginning. Hopefully, that will fix this problem. If anyone has any suggestions, please help. Thanks

I cleaned both the back of my Versa & the charger’s pins with rubbing alcohol. I will have to wait & see, if that helps. I have been charging my Versa for less than an hour & nothing has happened so far.
