Unable to log exercise on Versa

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but usually when I go to the gym, I click on 'exercise' and start logging my 'workout' and end it from my watch again when I am finished

 

Today I was unable to do this - I clicked on exercise, and it just kept taking me back to the previous screen, had to manually log it on my phone which isn't ideal

 

Any ideas how to fix this ?

Did you restart the watch to see if it solves the problem?

@mel5073 Thank you for sharing the details of the issue you’re experiencing and your workaround. Besides restarting your watch as suggested @Guy_, you can also try changing a clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
