I received a versa lite replacement 08/09/20 and I cannot set it up. It says it needs a firmware update and yet it won't update. I only purchased my original versa lite on 25/05/20 and it had syncing issues and wrong time after an update on 18/09/20. It went back to fitbit on 25/09/20. I have tried all the trouble shooting remedies to no avail. I wish I had never purchased it in the 1st place and have lost all fairh in the Fitbit brand 😔😠

Because this is a replacement device, you'll need to set it up in a different way than your original device, for instructions, please check the information that's specified on our help article: How do I set up a replacement device or add a second device to my account? and let me know if the issue persists. During the setup process, the firmware update will be prompted so after the setup is completed, your device will be up to date and you should not experience difficulties.
