VERSA Data not cleared and not able to sync.

I did a factory reset on my Versa yesterday. Straight after it displayed “Data not cleared, sync and retry” on the versa screen. I went into the iOS app on my phone to sync but my Versa device wasn’t listed anymore. I then tried the 3 button reset again however the same request comes up. Tried resetting my phone and opening app again, still no change. 
Does anyone have a suggestion to solve this?

Hi @microwavejenni, welcome to the community.

 

Can you try going into the settings on your iPhone and then into the Bluetooth menu, unpair/forget the Versa from there. Then go back into the Fitbit app and try the set up process again, this should hopefully clear the error.

Mine did the same thing. It wouldn't update. Followed the directions to do factory reset... now nothing works. I keep getting the red X and data not cleared, sync and retry. Nothing works. I unpaired it. Removed it from my app and reinstalled it. Still nothing. So frustrating. I"ve been stuck in this mode for several days.

Still an issue for me on android, been stuck with this message all day and phone won't restart

That’s a pity. The issue cleared for me and have been able to use it after
I did what was said in the first answer.
It did however keep doing it every time I reset it so I’m not sure what the
deal was.
I hope you get yours sorted.

I got in touch with customer care and organised the return of my Versa they are sending me another one

Still an issue for me. My Versa wasn't synching so I tried all of the suggestions in the other threads. I unpaired my Versa LIte, did a reset and now all I get is the Data Not Cleared message and my Versa is not longer showing up as an available Bluetooth device.  The pairing/synching issue is not just with my iPhone but also with the iPad and Surface Pro - latest versions of  iOS and Windows running on all. I'm ready to toss my Fitbit!

Oh no! After several weeks I finally got a response and I had to have my Fitbit replaced! I think it took a month to come with a conclusion and for Fitbit to agree to replace mine.
