Versa 2 looks nice, but I'm not sure about having Alexa listen to everything I say. How do I know Fitbit won't be selling that data?

  • Fitbit doesn't force a user to use Alexa.
  • If a user does not log into their Alexa account, Alexa on the watch can not be activated.
  • @Babayaga2. Their is a logout on the page @LZeeW points to.
  • Even if you log in to Alexa, unless the user takes steps to activate, Alexa will not be activated or be listening.
  • The Alexa app on the tracker talks to Alexa not Fitbit. Fitbit doesn't try and figure out what your saying.
  • @walberque you may not want Alexa, but many users have been requesting this feature. Sorry but Fitbit is adding requested features, not trying to force things on their user's
  • @walberque on the Versa 2 swipe to settings. Tap on Left Button Setting. You can choose what you want the button to do.
  • @Tcamuso have you set up call notification, your tracker should be notifying you of incoming calls, notifications, and email. If you need help in this, start a new thread.
  • @carriebeary the Versa is no longer sold, having been replaced by the Versa 2. The Versa lite is available. No microphone and no NFC.
  • If you don't agree with Amazon's privacy policy, then please do not use Alexa

Versa 2 does not work on Alexa and I am not the only one.  I have tried and had others tried to setup and it does not work.  This is my fourth fitbit devices and only reason why I get one because it works well with vitality.  The Blaze is other fitbit I don't recommend.

How do I delete the Alexa app entirely from the Versa 2?

I, like you, do not believe in having Alexa on my watch. While I was unable to completely remove the app, I could pick another option for the left button. Currently mine defaults to exercise.

This may be a new feature since you purchased your watch (I've owned mine for less than a week). Push the left bottom. Click the radio button away from Alexa to whatever you want. Click save at the bottom. That's it! Your left bottom now is what you can use.

I agree 100%. I was excited about getting a versa until i realized it had the built in microphone & no way to guarantee it wasn't spying like other alexa devices. I will not be buying one after all, this is a huge dealbreaker for me
