Versa 2 Cannot Read email from POP3 accounts

Just got the Versa 2 and so far I am less than impressed. My major problem is that my email selections on the Fitbit app are GMAIL or Yahoo mail. Since my Android 8 phone used GMAIL to handle my POP3 account (that's the go-to email that I've had for 20 years), it will only select the "myname@gmail.com" account to show emails on the watch. If I use a 3rd party app to handle the POP3 account, Fitbit won't allow it to be used. Other than that, I find the touch screen menus to be less than intuitive and difficult to use. I have to use a cheat sheet to remember how to navigate around the features. I'm glad I bought the watch from Amazon since they have an easy return policy which I will most likely use unless Fitbit fixes the email bug quickly.

Hi, could you please be more specific regarding the email account you use with the POP3 account, cause AFAIK, gmail uses IMAP and not POP3. Regards kuzibri

@Marob the Fitbit app is set to look for notifications from your email app. Not the actual email address, which is handled by your email app.

If your email app sends the notifications, that you want to see, to your phones lock screen it should be able to read by the Fitbit app. A user does not choose the email address but they choose the email app.

By running the add account found in the gmail app a user is able to add a pop email, choose other. You could also configure Gmail to directly fetch the email from a third party email server. Then your email will show up under it's own folder in you Gmail account and be accesses through an IMAP server.

Personally i would be surprised if any email server today still only offered the pop option and i would check with your email service if they offer IMAP

When it comes to third party apps, please look under App notifications. From here a user may choose up to 100 apps, from a list of every app installed on the phone.
