Versa 2 Dropping Wifi

Hey guys! I'm sort of posting here because I'm getting desperate, and I can't tell if I just got a bad Versa 2 (which... seems awfully common) or if I'm just missing something here.

So, I just got the Versa 2 about a week ago now, and I have been having weird error after weird glitch. Other than one issue I solved from factory resetting (why did the firmware update leave all my text looking like the programmer fell asleep and mashed the keyboard with his cheek? The world may never know) I think I've tracked all the issues back to the WiFi not staying connected.

What's my proof? Well, after I started it up the first time, I successfully connected it to my WiFi... only to have the firmware update error out and force me to switch to Bluetooth (which worked fine). Didn't think anything of it, but it happened once again when I factory reset and had to update again; same problem. It worked up until it hit 5% and then errored out. Also, I can't transfer music - something that also requires WiFi. They just never connect. Always endlessly searching. Sounds like my love life, but go off, chief. I also can't download big files on to my watch, which I think would be attributed to the WiFi issues; I couldn't download a tamagatchi watch face (smaller problem) and Fitbit Coach has been buffering and erroring out for literally seven days now (big problem; I got the watch for things like Fitbit coach).

Don't worry, I've definitely tried to troubleshoot; my wifi is a WPA2 Personal, which should work - and it does appear to for smaller files. It's like the wifi is on a timer and it errors out after so long lol. I reset the Wifi, because that's usually the issue. Nope. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app. I restarted the watch like twelve times. I even factory reset the thing; no dice. I've plugged it in to the computer, since apparently it needs that to work?? But yeah, nothing's worked. Still buffering. Still Fitbit Coachless. Still music-less. 😞

I'm rocking an iPhone X if that matters. It's currently plugged into my computer (which is a Win 10 - I can get the specs if it matters but I dunno them off the top of my head) with Fitbit coach endlessly buffering and then erroring out. I'm not sure what else to do. I got this from Dell, so if I managed to get a buggy one, I kind of need to know. Kind of an expensive purchase to literally not work as intended.

Thanks, guys! ❤️

With one exception, I'm at a bit of a loss - do you have the device on the charging cable actively charging when using wi-fi?

While it may connect without it, it will not maintain a connection; a power conservation measure.
