Versa won't power on

I went swimming with my watch on - it then went off and will not turn back on.  I left it to dry, then charged it and it got super hot and still won't power back on.  No green light on the back of the watch either.  Help please!  Thanks,

Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation

I strongly feel like something has happened by the update. I’ve had the same issue from Sunday and no luck. Followed all the steps. It’s really strange how a lot of people are having the same issue. I find that really strange.

I would have to agree.  Last week (to the day - 7/13/20) both my wife and I, had our Versas started acting odd.  Hers wont even turn on now.  I'm having draining battery issues that can be posted in another thread.  She doesn't swim/bathe with hers so we know it isn't due to water.  Its only 18 months old so maybe its a battery issue.  When we try to turn it on, its sometimes, pulses a continuous light flash on the screen every two seconds but that doesn't happen all the time.

I really wish Fitbit would look into this. Mine after I took it off charge went black and has not turned on since Sunday. With all these Fitbit users having the same issue lately I would hope they would take it a bit more seriously rather than tell us to try these simple steps!!! These steps obviously aren’t working!!!!!

Update: This morning my the Fitbit app had an update. So I pushed “update”. I went to see if my watch had any luck and it started flashing “0%” battery. I placed on the charger and all of a sudden began charging. I synced it , and it’s now working again. Let’s see how long it will work for this time.

I have had the exact same problem.

I put it on the charger and although the app says it's fully charged, the screen is black, the Fitbit is heating up on the charger and it won't turn on or sync. 

It has been 4 days and I've tried troubleshooting. I hope there is something that can be done!

I had the same thing happen a few days ago. I chatted with the "support service" and went through all the rebooting steps about four times with no success. I asked why the versa says it can be used in water, but got not reply. I was sent an email with 25% discount to buy another watch. I went to purchase, and the Versa is back ordered. 

Talking with a few other family and friends that have Fitbit products, they are having the same issues. I am very hesitant to purchase another Fitbit product at this time and still have not gotten any follow up on what is wrong/what has happened. A 25% discount is not going to do much for my product confidence.

I had the same thing but this morning my app needed an update and soon as I completed that it began to light up again! I hope it works for u.

I've tried all these steps and it still isn't working or even turning on. Besides its heating up a lot. Will someone respond what can be done besides these generic answers?

My Versa has only a red light on the back, and it quit reading heart rate. I restarted with the two buttons several times, and then I followed directions to turn off on the watch itself. It will not power on after two days. It’s been on the charger, too. Is it dead? I bought it Black Friday 2018, and I don’t wear it in water. What can I do? I really like it, and it helped me lose weight and get healthy following back surgery.
