Hi,
Recently my versa 2 has starting having issues with the GPS connection. For the first 3 months, the connection was fine whenever I went for a run/walk. However, all of a sudden now, I need to keep the app open on my iPhone in order for GPS to stay connected. If I close the app, the watch goes back to “connecting”. This doesn’t give me a map of my run at the end, and my other stats are not accurate either. I have tried restarting phone and watch, but to no avail.
has anyone else had this issue? If so, how do you fix it? I dont to switch to a different product, but if this continues then i will have to look at getting something else.
cheers

Same! It worked fine, but now it is always 'searching for signal' and I know the distance is wrong on my runs and walks. My phone apps are only about 0.05 mi different but my Versa is like 0.4 mi off!
I live in an urban area - my location could not be the cause of GPS signal loss.

Mine has been way off the last 2 days as well. My route is about 5.5 miles but yesterday it told me that I went 2 miles and it even messed up my pace saying I was doing 25 minute miles when I ran the entire time and I average at about 9 minute miles. It kept the time right saying the run lasted a little under an hour but my pace and distance and even the route it was showing I ran was all wrong. ... I thought it was just a glitch but it did again today. So frustrating.

Its big known problem that doesn't look like its getting fixed any time soon i'm afraid. There's a big thread here:

Same will connect then immediately drop off and be connecting for my whole walk. Never had a problem before but this week has not worked at all.

My Versa 2 has been doing this also. Sometimes it connects no problem. Other times it does not. I have been told to do a few things by Fitbit through email communications, which is
Quite a few things just to do before walking/running etc. I like the map as it is handy to see when you have been out exercising. With the issue of gps not working correctly, I have ended up using Strava. I know it does the same - but would prefer to use my Fitbit as I paid for a fitness watch with gps on it.
