Versa 2 Screen Not Functioning/Swiping

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I received my Fitbit Versa 2 for Christmas, and over the last couple of weeks the screen doesn't seem to be functioning properly. I cannot swipe on the screen. It does seem to pick up on motion and display the time, and my daily stats. The side button works to turn on and shut off the display. The double tap on the screen also wakes it up. When I hold the button it does display my notification screen, but I cannot select anything from the touch screen. I have repeatedly restarted the Fitbit by holding the button for 10 seconds, and sometimes this fixes the problem, but the fix is short lived. After reading some other similar forums, I tried to change the clock face to a "Fitbit" clock, but this made no difference. It still doesn't work. I did extensive research and comparisons prior to purchasing, and to tell you I am disappointed right now, is an understatement. Please help me to fix this.

I am having the EXACT same problem! Also was a Christmas present, and Ive really only used as a watch (been to the gym, sadly only once or twice since getting it). Nonetheless, my screen became unresponsive about a week and a half ago. And the altimeter stopped working abour 8 days ago. All my data gets to my phone but I can't check anything on my watch, which is really frustrating! Sometimes my email and text notifications come through but I can't do anything with them because the touchscreen won't work! I, too have tried multiple factory resets and still no change. Been a fitbit user for many years but am extremely disappointed in what was supposed to be one of their best fitness trackers. I sure hope they have a fix!

Well, the final verdict... Defective. I will be returning it for a replacement. I was also assured this was not a "common" issue, so we'll see. I would encourage you to pursue an exchange at either the point of sale, or through Fitbit directly. Best of luck.

Thank you! That's what I plan on doing. It's funny that they assured you it was not a common issue when there are hundreds of people complaining about screens not functioning right in Fitbit's app. Hopefully your replacement doesn't have the same issue!

There have been quite a few  postings on this issue!  I've had mine a little over a month.
