Versa 2 SpO2 (EOV) Questions

Based on the press release for the Versa 2, an spO2 sensor will become standard and be used primarily for the sleep score.

Does anyone know if this will also be used in fitness tracking? i.e. when working out, would O2 levels be measured and considered when calculating the overall fitness score?

Dream on...

judging the facts I don t even think that's a real spo2 sensor...

I could tell that I have invented the time machine but that I keep it secret

So, I've got a Versa 2. I'm trying to use as a SpO2 sensor. I'm looking for the EOV graph in thr Fitbit app with no luck. I took advantage of the free premium trial, but I don't see a Restoration tab or sleeping heart rate information. I guess I must need to get sleep stages, since I'm already wearing a Versa 2 device. Right?

Are we able to track spO2 during the day, like keeping it on all day? If not can this feature be added in the future

Best Answer

Since the sensor is already on and works to show us a graph at night (sometimes)   makes sense that daytime oxygen levels would be there already just not shown to us.   Other fitness watches have all day oxygen use.  Fitbit is falling behind in  some areas.

I'm a long-time Fitbit user and have had multiple devices. I just recently bought a Versa 2 as my Charge 3 screen stopped working. I have been getting the "Estimated Oxygen Variations" graph on my sleep results for a long time, however mid-week last week it stopped working - the box was there but empty. I did some reading here and one thing caught my eye.. someone mentioned the Versa 2 (Classic) option being paired to their phone in their Bluetooth settings. I had done that, trying to get the control of the music set up (which didn't work with the apps I wanted to use), but hadn't unpaired it. The moment I unpaired it all my oxygen graphs worked!

So if you came here because you have the box, but no graph, try unpairing the Versa 2 (Classic).. of course, this may mean you lose some other capabilities, which seems a bit wrong, but that seems to be the case.

Hmmm..... Sounds like they need to look into that and fix the issue for
whoever is having it.
Because you shouldn't have to unpair your watch from your phone? They were
meant to be paired to make life/exercise/activity simple while we're all
rushing around to get things done....Well, I don't know who's rushing
anymore with Covid lurking about but we all do what we can.

Best of luck to you at getting this issue fixed.

That's why I posted it in hopes that they would see and address this - and for others, like me, that couldn't find the answer.

I can pair it with Versa 2, just not with Versa 2 (classic) and Versa 2 Classic seems to be the way to be able to use the Versa 2 to control music.. seems that they should combine all this into ONE "device type" for clarity and simplicity.

So un pairing and repairing worked??

I had it paired twice - once as "Versa 2" and again as "Versa 2 (Classic)". Once I unpaired the Versa 2 (Classic) one, my graphs populated for the missing days.

From my research "Versa 2 (Classic)" is needed to enable the Versa to control music on your phone, but I couldn't get that to work with the app I wanted to use, so it wasn't a big deal for me to unpair.. if you use that functionality, it could cause you issues if you unpair Versa 2 (Classic) and only pair to "Versa 2".

Good luck!

I was notified by my app today that a new clockface was available for my Versa 2. I just installed it, so it has no data yet. It does bother me that this is a new clockface. I would have preferred it to be added to the quick stats like all the other stats items. I don’t like having to use a different clockface to see the data. I have not yet been able to see anything in the app.

You will have to go through one sleep cycle so tomorrow it will populate with your low to high o2% and the average on the clock face since it is new I would imagine that clock faces will and selection in the stats will be added in the future

Disappointed the new clock face doesn't have calories. Apparently Fitbit thinks most are more concerned with stairs climbed than calories.

I used it last night but it completely drained my battery sadly.

My Fitbit app and clock face has updated to show eov graph, but it’s not calculating a percentage. Not in app or in click face. What do I need to do to fully activate this feature?

What is required to see the spo2 score?

I have updated my Versa 2 firmware earlier this week to the latest version.

I do not subscribe to their extra paid monthly option.

I installed the SPo2 watch face yesterday.

It showed spo2 = --%,

I switched back to my preferred watch face and went to sleep.

This morning sleep score = 77.

I switched back to spo2 watch face.

It still shows --%.
