Does anyone know how to use the Spotify app during running the work out apps? It seems like I have to back out of my workout to change songs with the Spotify app. I don’t want to use the workaround of the built-in music program just want to use the Spotify app. Thank you

As far as I know there is no solution, Fitbit OS doesn't currently allow for multi-tasking. So during workouts the only way to control music is to swipe down and use the stock music controls. With this method you will be able to skip or go back to previous tracks, but not able to select a different playlist.

This is a bad news. Versa 2 has been marketed with spotify app, but it can`t be used while exercising. I was expecting that I can control spotify with my versa 2 while exercising. Are everybody else satisfied with this app, or am I the only one who is complaining?
I found this thread while googling the same issue. What's the point of having an app to control Spotify on a watch most known for its workout features if you can't actually use it while working out. You guys definitely dropped the ball on this one. Instead of Fitbit Pay and Alexa, I would much rather have the option to switch to Spotify by holding down the side button on my Versa 2. I don't know who's testing these products, but it's definitely not someone that's actually using these features.
I noticed this too.....
To be able to control Spotify while working out was half the reason I bought this, now I can't even do that without backing out of the workout. Utterly useless and extremely retarded.
Very dissapointed in Fitbit.
LOL That's exactly what I thought. Like did no one test the Versa 2 and tell the designers "hey, I think you guys should figure out how to make spotify accessible while you use the workout tracker...because isn't that main point of a fitbit...to track you workout". To me the Alexa and pay are completely useless.
They probably did, it was probably rather some Business or Marketing guy that doesn't understand MVP thinking that wanted it to launch without that very essential part of it fixed because they're going by "MVP" and wanted it on the market asap.
They didn't just understand that a Spotify-controller that disables the ability to track your fitness, and vice versa, in a "smart fitness" watch, is not a Viable or Valuable Product....
This is SO ridiculous... I'll be sending mine back to Amazon pronto.
1) I find out it's not really a Spotify app, just a Bluetooth control
2) it doesn't work when exercising
So basically its only function is to look like a douche bag at a house party skipping tracks?
Yeah I discovered this yesterday. It’s absolutely useless.
