I just got my Versa 2 yesterday and went for my first swim today. I’m incredibly disappointed that there is no way to actively track my swim stats during the exercise. This feature was available on my first generation Versa, and I can’t understand why a newer model would offer lesser quality features than its predecessor. I’m training for a triathlon and really need to be able to see how far I’ve gone during a swim instead of hoping I went far enough, getting out of the water and syncing my watch to my phone to see my actual distance. I spent almost an hour with two different reps trying to problem solve because I was sure that I must have been missing something. I am hoping that Fitbit plans to rectify this soon.
Just commenting in the hope that the more people express their dissatisfaction about the lack of swim stats on the new Versa 2, the more likely developers will improve/re-introduce them.
Very annoyed that I no longer can set a distance goal. And why do i find myself back to the pre-Versa times of gaving to count laps in my head??? I loved seeing all that on my old Vers. Also the summary once workout is ended disappears so quickly one can hardly read anything.
And here I was excited to be offered a brand new Versa 2 free of charge after my Versa died after only 3 months ...
The only swim suggestion i found in the Feature Board to vote on is this one.
I recently received an email from Fitbit asking to complete a survey. Did it today and mentioned dissatisfaction re swim stats on Versa 2. If you've received this survey request, please take the time to complete and express your own dissatisfaction regarding the swim stats. Maybe that'll help us
Hi Rich, This issue has been complained about for over 8 months in numerous forums.
So when will something be donees at the moment the swim exercise tracker is still not fit for purpose ?
Best Answer@steve2000 as a fellow Fitbit user I know as much as you do. You may want to read the FAQ
Best Answermine also stopped and though the reason was not stated to me officially but looks like this is not a great watch to use in water...Mine stopped working in less than 3 months of my purchase and now am waiting for my replacement and may be a better idea to keep it outside and forget tracking swimming mode 🙂
