Has anyone ordered a new Versa 2 in the recent months, say since September, 2022?
If so, I'd like to know if the current Versa 2 still allows third party apps?
I have enjoyed using a Versa 2 for over four years and require the use of third party apps in addition to the fitness and sleep tracking. However, the battery is failing and I recently attempted to replace it with a brand new Versa 4 ordered directly from Fitbit. To my shock, the Versa 4 does not allow third party apps, so I promptly returned it.
Looking to confirm that a new Versa 2 would still allow third party apps prior to purchase, and received this from Fitbit chat support. Even their own support team isn't aware, and the product compare tool conveniently does nor include third party apps as an attribute. Hence, I'm reaching out to the community to confirm if the Versa 2 continues to allow third party app downloads or not, before I take the risk to order.

Hi @Justcruzinthru - the Versa 4 does not have third party apps, the Versa 2 does.

I just received my Versa 2 in the mail last week, and it has third party apps that seem to work just fine. Hope this helps!
