I have the versa 2. I had a PT appt yesterday and wanted to put in my workout. So we did about 20 minutes of resistance bands. I dont see a way to input a resistance band workout and i forgot to do it while i was there. How the heck can i track or input a resistance band workout?

Hi, @SamiMarie88, there are a number of ways of doing this.
In the future, if you would like to track it at the time, just make sure that “workout” is on your “exercise shortcuts” list. (On your app go to Versa, scroll down to “exercise shortcuts and check that “workout” is there. If not, you can add it, but depending on what is already there you may need to delete a different activity.). If you make any changes, please make sure to sync your Versa to update the device with changes you have made.
When you are ready to start your activity, swipe left to find the exercise tile, tap on the tile, scroll to find “workout” and tap “start”. Don’t forget to tap “finish” when you are done.
When you sync to your app you can see all the details there.
If you forget to track your activity at the time, you can always log it later. On your app, go to the exercise screen, and on the top right you will see a stopwatch icon. Tap on that and you will find an option to log a previously completed exercise. Quite cleverly the Fitbit will report stats it detected in that time period.
Now, here comes the fancy stuff! You can, if course, just leave your exercise recorded as “workout”, but if you would like to be specific about it, you can rename this as “resistance bands workout” if you want, or “PT assisted workout” or really anything you want, by creating a “custom workout”. The trick is that custom workouts must be created in the web-based version of Fitbit. Once created, they will be available to you in the app, so you only need to go to the web once.
If you have not yet discovered the web based version, you will find it available whenever you are logged in to this chat forum: just click on “dashboard” top right. From the menu at the top of the dashboard choose “log” and then “activity”. Scroll down to the bottom right and you will see a box to create a custom activity.
Once created online, you can use your exercise shortcut in the app. You cannot add it to your exercise shortcuts on the Fitbit itself, but if you track your activity as a “workout“ on the device, then in a matter of a few seconds you can simply rename it, so you will see it on your exercise log with whatever name you created.
*the advantage of tracking at the time, rather than logging later, is that if you track your heartrate is sampled more often, so you get more detailed results.
I hope this helps. If there is any bit that is unclear, please post again, letting us know which app you use (iOS, Android or Windows 10) and say where you are having difficulties. With more than one million worldwide users of the forum, there is always someone here to help!
Good luck, and welcome to the forums!
