My versa 2 silicone band i believe has recently been giving me a thick red mark on my inner wrist. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and does anyone know what the clasp is made of on the band the Versa comes with?

From the Versa 2 manual:

Materials
The housing and buckle on Versa 2 are made of anodized aluminum. While
anodized aluminum can contain traces of nickel, which can cause an allergic reaction
in someone with nickel sensitivity, the amount of nickel in all Fitbit products meets
the European Union's stringent Nickel Directive.
The Versa 2 classic wristband is made of a premium, comfortable silicone similar to
that used in many sport watches.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I am actually severely allergic to the bands. I even got a fabric band and now have chemical burns on my wrist. Its bad. My daughter is allergic to the bands too. I've learned this company is very unsafe. Im trying a band from a different company to see if it relieves the allergy

I’ve had terrible burns, oone of which woke me up with agonizing sharp pain one night.  Happened with both first and then with replacement fitbit.  Am afriad to put back on.  Company seems rather sanguine about it.
