Versa 2 backlight sensor not working

I have a versa 2 which I purchased back in August and have loved it from the beginning. However; about 3 weeks ago I noticed that when I would rotate my wrist to check my steps or the time my backlight wouldn’t light up while inside. I didn’t think much about it because when I tried it a second time it light up just fine. As time has gone on it’s gotten worse. If I am in a bright room or outside, I am unable to see my watch. The backlight does light up but only enough for a dark room. I have checked all of my settings, my backlight is set to max. I have tried turning the watch on and off, syncing and un-syncing my watch to my iPhone 6, but nothing has worked. I have emailed customer support 3 times in the last week and a half and have yet to receive a response.

Has as anyone else’s had this issue? I have seen a few forums that discuss this issue and it seems the only solution they came up with is trading the watch in for a new one.

How is the brightness if you press the side button?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

It’s the same as the motion. One time it will be bright, the next time it will be dim. 8 times out of 10 it’s dim.
