My Versa 2 isn’t very old but now the battery drains fast. I don’t want have to buy another. My last one made a year or so before it just stopped working. I also don’t use any apps that I haven’t used before. Maybe Garmin or another brand is the way to go.

It could be a problem with the clock face, can you try a standard Fitbit clock and see if that resolves the problem.
Also review the settings, screen timeout set to 10 seconds, brightness to normal, or any others you may have changed which could adversely affect battery life.

Thank you for sharing that you've been having trouble with the battery of your Versa 2.
The battery of this watch should last 6+ days with regular use, but because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary. Before considering other options and in addition to the steps @Guy_ mentioned earlier, could you please confirm if you already tried all the recommendations listed in this article?
Make sure that you've tried the restart procedure described here as well.
