Versa 2 button not working

The side button on my versa 2 has not worked for quite some time. I've been able to get by without it, however I somehow ended up on a screen that I am unable to swipe out of. As the side button does not work, I can't reset it. Do I need to wait for it to die, and then charge it from an empty battery? HELP!

Hi mate, any luck after the battery died? I'm in the same boat. I'm a a screen I can't navigate out of... and waiting for the battery to die now.

I had to wait for it to die. Of course my luck, I had fully charged it the
day this happened. It took 1 week to die. I'm happy to report, once I
charged it from dead, the screen returned to normal! Good luck!
