I have a Fitbit Versa 2 with unresponsive button, a few years old. Still in very good working condition but the button stopped working. Anything I could do to get it fixed, I’ve tried some stuff I’ve seen on these forums here but still not working. Button seems to move so it’s not stuck or jammed.
Can we get those repaired or something? Too good a watch to throw out because of that. What would also work if we could disable button so software doesn’t depend on it and replace its function with onscreen gestures. At the moment I sometimes come to a screen where we couldn’t move on because it needs button response to do so, which is stupid. Have to wait till battery is dead to restart to Home Screen.

Hi @Fibitter1 - on later models there is a swipe back button equivalent but not on the Versa 2 unfortunately, it's also a problem when charging as you have to stop charging to use the button in some cases.
If the watch is syncing changing clock face can end some operations rather than waiting for the battery to die.
In case it is a software issue sync the watch and in watch Settings, About menu do a Shutdown.
Place on charge to restart it afresh but there is a risk it won't restart and needs a button to restart it, so may longer work.
If the watch is behaving strangely in other ways (shorter battery life etc.) there could be a more serious fault.
The watches aren't repaired but can be replaced under warranty if still valid.

Hi
funnily enough this exact thing has randomly happened to my watch on the same day as yours. Hold button in and nothing happens and now it’s stuck on wallet screen. It’s still working in that it’s tracking steps and will sync etc just useless to me re navigating the watch. Odd it’s happened on the same day with the same issue. Makes me wonder if it’s a way of getting people to upgrade in the sales?!

Yes it does absolutely nothing when I hold the button in. Doesn’t restart at all. Tried up to 30 seconds - nothing sadly.

So no response from Fitbit moderator? Could be a simple fix from phone app.
