Versa 2 delayed stats

Two things:

My versa 2 takes 24+ hours to auto recognise activity on both the device and in the app. It picks up steps, active minutes (although the calculations are wrong, see below), but not the activity until over 24 hours later.

The device and app also both show an irrelevant number under active minutes. It will say 108 minutes when I have two 65 minute activities logged for example.

I had the latter issue on my Charge 2, and bought a new Versa 2 in good faith, but the issue still exists on a new device.

I have reset, uninstalled, logged in and out etc already and the problems both persi

Logged activity is not necessarily active minutes, and active mites might occur in times other than logged actovity.

Are you logging the activity from the wrist, or letting Fitbit decide?

Maybe I didn't use the right terms, I'll try and explain clearly.

  • I only use auto recognition for walking and cycling, this is why I bought the Fitbit versa as it was marketed as a key functionality of the device.
  • Any auto recognised activity takes 24+ hours to recognise on the device and the app, despite the calories burned registering, and steps counting.
  • Often the device no longer auto recognises at all.
  • The active minutes never correlates to logged or auto recognised activity. It is a completely made up number.

I have been through the last point in detail through the chat support function. There is no fix as far as they could find. These issues occurred on both this device and my charge 2.

Hi @Bellevis , there has been a server issue on Fitbit's side on the 14th of this month with the same problem: active minutes logged, exercises not. On my Versa 2 this problem was solved the next day and all my "missed" exercises were added, so no data  lost. Maybe that will happen to you also. This server issue was a major problem for a lot of users. Many of them mentioned that is was resolved, but a few did not yet. Regards kuzibri

What are active minutes?

As for auto detect, they will not show up on the watch until after the first sync after the walk or bike ride.

Hi @Rich_Laue , as fas as I'm concerned: after each walk with auto detect, my active minutes are shown directly on my watch, but only after one or two syncs they will be shown in my Fitbit app. That's my experience with my Versa 2 and the Minimal Style CF. If you press the middle stat on the bottom of the screen, f.i. showing steps, you cycle through all the other stats, including active minutes. I just finished walking my dog, not having synced with my phone yet, and my Versa 2 says that I've walked 14 minutes . Regards kuzibri

I understand what active minutes are, I have been using Fitbit devices for years.

No matter how many times I sync, the activity will not register for over 24 hours. This is a new issue.
