Versa 2 doesn't vibrate for call notifications

I just purchased a Versa 2 Yesterday and it seems that everything is syncing with the fitbit but my phone calls.  I have a Galaxy S9+ .  I am getting notification vibrations on my fitbit when I get a text and my alarms are going off but when I get a phone call on my cell it does not register or vibrate my versa 2 to let me know. Does anyone have an idea of how to resolve this considering the amount of money I spent on the fitbit?

Hi there @Beatch967, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the inconveniences you've been having with your Versa 2 which is not vibrating when you receive call notifications, I understand how you must be feeling.

If you haven't done so yet, please open the Settings app and confirm or adjust the following settings:

  • Bluetooth—Verify that Bluetooth is on.
  • Do Not Disturb—This feature prevents your phone from sending notifications. Verify that Do Not Disturb is off. Find this setting under Sound and notification.
  • Notifications—To see notifications from your phone on your Fitbit device, your phone must receive phone, text, calendar, and app notifications. Check these settings:
    • Make sure your phone receives notifications while locked. Find this setting under Sound and notification.
    • If your Fitbit device can receive app notifications, make sure you receive app notifications on your phone. For example, to receive Facebook notifications on your Fitbit device you first must receive them on your phone. Find the notifications permissions under Sound and notification.
    • Make sure the Fitbit app can run in the background on your phone. For more information, see Why is the Fitbit app sending a notification to my Android phone?

I had a similar issue with my gmail notifications, until I realized I had set the gmail notification to be silent on my phone (in addition to displaying the little mail icon when an email came in). This stopped when I changed the settings from silent to vibrate.

In addition, note that most Fitbit devices don’t receive notifications when you turn on the Do Not Disturb, Quiet hours, or Driving mode setting on your phone. Fitbit smartwatches receive notifications, but they won’t alert you. Swipe down to see your notifications.

Also, since you're using an Android phone, please make sure that the following is enable:

  1. Tap the Today tab, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Notifications
  3. In the Vibration Settings section, turn on the Always Vibrate option.
