To those of you that have a Fitbit device that works exactly as it is advertised....congratulations, you are in the minority. I am fascinated by this forum that try’s to find out why a device isn’t working as it should. My question is, why do you still have the device? Why are you willing to pay for something that is advertised as performing certain functions and when it doesn’t you spend hours trying to fix it? I purchased a versa 2 and within the first 48 hours it was miscounting steps which means it was also showing incorrect numbers of calories burned. I can’t trust anything this device shows except the time. I didn’t pay for a device with the functions this is supposed to have so I could spend hours of my time trying to get it to work right. It’s obvious to me that Fitbit put this item on the market too soon. This one will be going back.

FYI, calories burned are not based on steps.
But do let us know when you do find the tracker that is 100% accurate on step count.

Amber, I accept your congratulations! My Versa works flawlessly for over a year now! This proves to me that the hardware and firmware are exceptional! Every single product in the world ships a small percentage that are defective for various reasons, which is why companys replace defective product.
