I bought a brand new versa 2 in December and now it won’t stay charged for more than a day and will shut off and turn back on through out the day on its own and the screen won’t let me tap it or swipe to get to the apps on it. I have restated it, re-installed the Fitbit app and reconnected my fit bit to it.

I would contact support. There were quite a few people that had this issue after the last firmware update. If none of support's troubleshooting works, I think they will send you a replacement.
