My versa 2 suddenly goes from ~70 to ~177 or higher during my workout. I know it is inaccurate because I'm not falling over or even out of breath. This has been happening for a while and I have been switching the device on and off to get the accurate reading...but then I am interrupted during my workout and I don't have accurate readings. Please help with a potential step by step fix.

Hi @GoveDi00, welcome to the Community Forums!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here. Heart-rate tracking can be affected by several factors including air temperature and device location on your arm. For more information about this, please check our help articles:
However, if your heart-rate tracker seems inaccurate after taking the recommendations into account, please reply with answers to the following questions so I can further investigate:
I'll be waiting for your reply if further assistance is needed.

Thanks Ricardo for your reply.
Yes before I connected here I did a bit of reading to understand the issue and tried also moving the device higher up in my hand to get a more accurate reading.
To answer your question:
1. I first noticed it when I was reviewing my stats and then noticed my heart jumped up within a minute to about 177 and then plateaued at there not moving the whole exercise routine. I was doing very light jogging, slow stepping.
2. The device is neither too tight nor too loose, it is at the regular stop I have been using it since I bought it.
3. The position is about 2-3cm from my wrist
I also noticed that my steps and the type of exercise I am doing are inaccurate and I think this could be linked to the high heart rate reading.
I did not have this issue until about 2-3 weeks ago.
Please help me as the primary purpose I upgraded my Fitbit was for the heart rate monitoring and this also helps maintain my motivation.
I appreciate your support with this issue.
Thank you

Richardo seems to have disappeared. I am having the exact same problem with my Versa 2. Wish I had known this device was so glitchy before I bought it. I am hoping now that Google bought Fitbit they will be able to fix some of this. Anyway, if anyone is able to help with this frustrating heart rate problem I am all ears. And thank you in advance!
