Versa 2 inaccurate step count

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I was wondering about the accuracy of the step count on the Versa 2 - which I received as a gift on Christmas 2019.  This morning, while driving it alerted me that I only needed 4 steps to achieve my hourly goal - as I was parking it alerted me again that I had achieved my hourly goal?  I was driving - not walking.

Really questioning keeping this device if it is not accurate or there is no fix made!

@Beckyhipp, I'm sorry for the late response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is not tracking your steps accurately.

Please restart your Versa as described in this help article. After this, please check out this help page which explains what to do if your Fitbit device picks up steps while on the car or in a vehicle.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

@MarekPol, thank you for participating in our Fitbit forums. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

Since your Fitbit Versa is not tracking your steps accurately either, please try the troubleshooting steps that shared in my previous post. The troubleshooting steps and the info are helpful for this type of issues.

Once you've done the steps, monitor your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Let me know how it goes.

of course I tried to reset the device. it doesn't work for me. I read the links you provided. It is nonsense that I have to save during the day all car journeys and other activities that count the steps to later manually edit the activity in the application on the computer and delete steps that should not be. I might as well count and save steps myself and add up once a day ... My versa, almost every repetitive move counts as steps ...
