My Versa 2 is dramatically undercounting steps, especially on my daily walks. For example, my walk this morning was 2 hours, 35 minutes long and I did 16.2 km (10 miles). I have UnderArmour HOVR Connected Series shoes that sync with my iPhone (via their Map My Run app) and track the exact number of steps I do, amongst other things. According to May My Run, my walk this morning was 19.9K steps. However, my FitBit Versa 2 only tracked 16.2K steps during the same time/distance, which is an undercount of 3.7K steps or 18.5%! On average for most people, it takes 1,200 to 1,500 steps to do 1 km. So the 19.9K steps tracked by my shoes makes much more sense than the 16.2K steps tracked by my FitBit. I restart my Versa 2 at least once a day (by pressing and holding the side button until the FitBit logo displays on the Versa 2); I also ensure that I have the latest version of the FitBit app on my iPhone. My Versa 2 is on version 71.6.19, my FitBit iPhone app is version 3.32.1 and my device is an iPhone X, running iOS 14.2. Does anyone else experience this type of undercounting of steps with their Versa 2 and know how to get it to more accurately count steps?

I have the same exact issue. I have a pedometer and my verse 2 is consistently off by at least 3000 steps almost daily. I’m seriously considering not buying a Fitbit again and finding a different way of tracking my daily activity. They should at least add a manual entry for steps for this inaccuracy.
