Versa 2 is providing inaccurate steps data

I just bought my version 2. Tonight I looked at my steps and noticed I had over 7000 steps. That seemed like a lot so I brought up the hourly total for the day.  I added all those steps up and came up with a little over 2000 steps. This is quite a difference. I also kept mt inspire attached with a clip on and that showed about 2000 steps as well. Any ideas on why the discrepancy.

Hi @Pampered, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 didn't track your steps accurately.

 

Please restart your Versa 2 as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains more information about the accuracy of your Fitbit device.

 

Finally, monitor your watch during the next 24 hours and see if it provides accurate steps data.
