I enjoy running, but on my past two runs I’ve found that my device is randomly buzzing and switching screens (between pace, heart rate zone, and a blank screen) on my runs. I’ve not been pressing the side button, nor was I wearing clothes that would accidentally brush up against it to change the screen.
This is a new development within the past 3 days, and I find it really distracting when I’m just trying to concentrate on my run. I can’t tell if my device has gone haywire, or if Fitbit has added an update where the screen automatically vibrates/changes screen when you switch between heart rate zones. If so, might there be a way to switch settings?

Hi, just on the off chance check if laps or some such setting got set which triggers the vibrate or screen change.

Yes it’s very disturbing and annoying. It’s been going on about a week with mine too. Walking, treadmills and weight training. Drive me crazy. The should improve not make it worse.

I just found this area because my Fitbit has been acting very strange to the point of me taking it off and thought it was dead. I could not do anything with it When I pressed the side button, it came up with music app but I don’t have one! It was stuck on that. I could not even see the time! Now, I can see time again but can’t sink it!

I did all those things. Checked for laps, customize everything and even reset my Fitbit to factory reset. While I reset my Fitbit it showed the company add a new feature. Vibrate every time when hart rate zone changes. Very bad feature. Disturbing during exercise and annoying.

You can stop the hart rate monitor. It won’t buzz on your wrist. Still show your steps and calories burned.
