Versa 2 loses Alexa connection

Have a brand new Versa 2 that intermittently loses Alexa connection.  Killing the app and restarting it will bring it back usually.  Always in range of Bluetooth, so don't understand what is causing this.  Running on an iPhone 7 Plus.

Let me help you with your Versa 2 losing connection with Alexa. Try refreshing the link between your iPhone and your Versa 2 by doing the following:

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Tried that and other things suggested by the support chat, nothing seems to stick.  Meanwhile found this article describing exactly what I'm seeing, so I'm not optimistic it can be resolved without an update:

I’m still having that issue, frustrating! Maybe Google will solve it!!
