Hi. My daughters Versa 2 is doing little more than keeping time these days, and wouldn’t even do that accurately today. She tells me she has tried syncing and a reset but at only 18 months old I’m not ready to upgrade the device. Any ideas on what I should be doing to try and get it working properly again?
thanks

I am having the same sort of problem and mine is about 18months old too. I am getting increasingly annoyed about it as it only seems to have happened over the last week. I spent 30 minutes trying to sync it this morning and well over an hour yesterday. It's also losing time as well as not syncing data. I shan't be getting another one unless this problem is fixed.

My daughter is a very tech savvy 13 yr old and was using every possible function on it when she first got the watch. I can’t work out if it is the user, watch or software. It started with just one or 2 apps being an issue but now seems to be all of them including time. Am wondering if a full factory reset is a possible solution but not sure how to do it. I’m noting position to replace the watch at this stage.

Beginning to think this is their way of forcing us to buy a newer on! Not happening... Will buy something else if they do not fix this . Mine only tells tie time and I have to press the but. ton to do so!

The same thing is happening to me! My heart rate sensor would not work, but everything else did, and it was hooked up to my phone Bluetooth. I used the supports chat feature, and the representative had me factory reset my FitBit, and now it won't connect to my Bluetooth on my phone at all. I reached out to FitBit multiple times, and the best answer they could give was that my watch was out of warranty, and gave me a discount code to get 35% off a new one. I refuse to buy a new one when it is their fault.
I have tried all of the resets, restarts, and installing that is possible, and nothing has worked. To say I am furious and irritated is an understatement. This is obviously a FitBit issue.

This is the concern I have is if I do the factory reset will it make things worse?

It did for me. Everything on my FitBit was working, and it was connected to my phone. The ONLY thing was the heart rate was not detecting, and now that I did a factory reset, it wont connect to my phone AT ALL, so it is basically completely useless. I have been fighting with FitBit since yesterday and this seems like a global issue.

UPDATE: I am pleased to say that my Versa 2 appears to be back to running normally. To do it, I had to delete the Fitbit app from my PHONE, and then re-install it. I have tried fixing it so many times I can't remember whether I also had to press the button on the side of the watch - but I don't think I did, I think it was just a problem with the app rather than the watch itself. Here's hoping, anyway!🙂. I'll be interested to know if this works - or doesn't - for anyone else.
