Versa 2 messages not working

Every time I get a message via the default android message app (as in, I'm not using Whatsapp or Messenger or anything, just a plain old normal text message)  I get this message:  "This notification has expired and is no longer valid" when I click open on the message

 

I can see a preview but I can't see the whole message. I have preview enabled in the message settings on my anddroid phone. I quadruple checked that my phone is compatible with the Versa 2 before I bought it. 

 

Is this all the Versa 2 does is display the first few words of a message? Or are there other settings I need to look into?

@dellaquilaa, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa 2 since the text messages feature is not working properly.

 

Please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article in order to fix the notification issue. In the meantime, I would like to know what is the operating system that your phone runs.

 

Regarding your inquiry, your Versa 2 should display the whole message, not just the first words.
