Versa 2 microphone stopped working

Hello Versa 2 owners,
I know this has been addressed before, but the posts are from 2019 and 20, so I am just wondering if anyone has had any new responses from Fitbit Help?

My microphone worked just fine in the beginning, and continued to work up until late last year, or earlier this year.
I have tried everything from deleting it off my fitbit app and adding it back in, to resetting, etc.
Alexa responds with the message to ask a question, but it does not hear me.
Is there a fix for this at all in 2021, or should I just buy a different fitbit?

Thank you all and I apologize for asking a question that's already been asked in the past, but I am hoping that there might be new answers!

Hi there, @khall61. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

Since you've exhausted all troubleshooting, you can try performing a factory reset on your watch. Note when you do a factory reset you'll need to reinstall any apps on your watch. If you couldn’t sync your Versa Lite before the factory reset, then any data prior to the last sync will be lost. That being said, I recommend syncing your Versa Lite, remove it from your Fitbit account and your phone's Bluetooth settings, then perform the factory reset. For instructions, see How do I erase my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.

Hi Marre, thank you so much for your reply! Unfortunately I did all the steps to reset and reinstall, but the microphone is still not working.
My Versa 2 is a couple of years old now, so it's too late to send back, so I'll just have to deal with it without a microphone for now!
Thank you for taking the time to try to help!
