Versa 2 not calculating steps/miles

I have had my Versa 2 for several months and had no problems until the last week. I do about 4 miles on the treadmill nearly everyday, and for the past 5 days, it shows my step count at 2,000 or less after and my miles walked at less than 1. Does anyone know why?

Have you recently started holding hand rail?  Doing so usually prevents steps from being counted.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks for the reply. No, I have the moveable resistance bars on my treadmill, so my arms are constantly moving. I’ve been using it the same way all along but had given myself a Fitbit break through the holidays. When I started using it again, the calculations were off.
