Versa 2 not calculating steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently had a procedure on my leg. I was hoping to use my Versa in tracking progress during recovery. However it is not counting all my steps accurately. I’m walking a very limited amount but noticed that the Versa did not capture the steps after 5 laps of my living room. Each lap should be around 50-75 steps. I have rebooted my tracker. Nothing changed. Disappointed that I cannot track small incremental improvements during my recovery period but also wondering about overall accuracy.

  • What your tracker actually detects is arm swings.  I wonder if, with your leg problem, you are not able to swing your arms as in regular walking.
  • You say it is not counting all your steps accurately.  It would be more meaningful to know some actual numbers.  Expectations vary; some people might get upset and complain their Fitbit is useless if it counted 72 steps instead of 75.
Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Good points! I’m using a walker 99% of the time. What I witnessed was the Versa had tracked 368 steps and it never changes after 4 or 5 trips around the lower level of my house. Would have expected at least 100 additional steps, possibly more. But I checked at the end of each lap —still sitting on 368. Also it hasn’t tracked any flights of stairs and I am going up a full flight at least 3-5 times per day
