Versa 2 not consistently syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my versa 2 for 2 days and so far I am not pleased. Had to live chat 2x to get a couple things working and both times were exactky the same for 2 different issues... my versa does nit stay consistently synces to my bluetooth on my phone, i can have it in my cross bag person on me ( the phone) or i can be in the kitchen and phone is in the bedroom etc.. and i do not get my email or text notifications... which i might add dont have enough options, my versa 2 always says lost connection, my phone always says device not found so i am constantly restarting both.... grrrrr! I upgraded from my alta hoping i would not need my phone on me at all times and yes i know it is suppose to be 15 feet but it dont matter if its on my or not, the connection never stays...

Creating 1 with its own wifi may be a better way to go.

My alta was MUCH more reliable -  could be a return.

@Mauzimo A warm welcome to our Community!

Let me help you with your Versa 2 not syncing. I appreciate the feedback and thank you for contacting our Support team. Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleYou can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Still thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Let me know how it goes.

I upgraded from a charge 2 to the versa 2; about 2 weeks ago now. I never had any syncing issues with the charge 2. I don't understand why I'd have to unsync everything else to get my new watch continuesly sync, nor should I have to restart my phone or turn my Bluetooth on and off multiple times a day to get it to sync up 😒 I have a LG ThinQ, the Fitbit app is up to date. Maybe the watch needs an update?

I am having exactly the same issue.  I thought I was buying g a better version going from charge 2 to versa 2.  Seems to be a theme that the versa 2 has a bug.  How can this be fixed?  If not, how do I get a refund? I have had it 4 days and is licjed and not working. Pretty poor service for quite alot if money

Toy4kj, my fiance actually has seemed to have fixed it. He forced stopped the app then powered cycled both my phone and watch. It's been perfectly fine now so far. So fingers crossed

How do you forward stop the app?  Not sure what that means. I have powered both the phone and my iPad off and on, fiddled with the Bluetooth on both and powered the watch off and on several times. I just can’t seem to get it to sync correctly.

My apologizes, I meant forced stopped. You go into the app settings and select force stop. I'm not certain if the apple phone settings are the same as Androids.

My husband worked on this issue for me too and finally was able to fix it by doing that as well. However the issue keeps occuring and we don't know why. So every day I have to force stop app and shut down phone... And I just got my versa 2 for Christmas. It's brand new. Already had to make one return for something else. Also, I have the other bug where it won't tracks my oz of water to ml.

Sorry, didn't mean to post yet. It's just extremely frustrating!!!

And I did check it's the only thing paired on Bluetooth.

Don't know what else to do to make the syncing stick so I won't have to mess with it EVERY day! 😕
