Versa 2 not counting steps accurately

I have only had my versa 2 a couple of weeks and today I'd reached 16,000 then the next time i looked it was on 29,000 and there's no way that it was correct. How can i tell if its right?

Hi @Janeharding, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 is not tracking your steps accurately. I totally understand how you feel about this.

 

Please restart your Versa 2 as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains why your Fitbit device may track extra steps.

 

Finally, monitor your Versa 2 for the next 24 hours and see if the issue doesn't happen again.
