Versa 2 not receiving notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had my Versa 2 for a little over 2 years now. I have the Samsung S9+.  About 24-36 hours ago, all of my notifications (calls, texts, Fitbit, Whatsapp, bank, security system, e-mail) stopped coming through to my Fitbit.  I have checked the Notifications area, and all of the apps are checked.  I have unpaired my Fitbit and repaired it.  I have removed it from Bluetooth and added it back.  I have forced stopped the app.  I have powered off and then back on my phone.  I am at a loss.  Could someone please help me?

Hello,

I have the same issue. First it started that I could not receive texts and phone calls twice. Now I can't receive texts. I have tried everything that was recommended. My watch button doesn't work either. I have gotten to the point that I am about done with Fitbit. They use to be great.

Both mine and my husbands have quit sending notifications of text messages and calls.  It says to "go to best answer" on your post but it won't show me the answer.  I am guessing, it told you to do all the things you mentioned you had already tried.

I still have not received a response from Fitbit via this thread.  When I tried to e-mail them, this is the message I received.

As many people are affected by not receiving notifications it may be a bug in the latest Fitbit App.

But to be sure, check in your Quick Settings that neither Sleep nor Do not disturb are enabled as that can also cause a problem.

It's the new update that's messing everyone up

My call function works just not getting email or text notifications

Thanks...how do we get it resolved?  Will Fitbit make an announcement or provide a fix...shoot just respond to this thread?

Best Answer

He basically said we would know when it started working again...(I spent
almost an hour between two phone calls trying to figure it out.)

@jncallaham- this is a users forum - I have pushed the issue to a moderator after that - who knows.

There never is an announcement as to what an app version covers.

Yes, after a very long time on the phone with support doing all the things
they suggested, he finally said we are getting several reports regarding
this issue. We will be looking into it. When I asked how we would know
when it had been resolved, he basically said "when it starts working
again".

Thanks Becky for the update...I really do appreciate it.  Hope I'm not in a meeting when my Fitbit starts buzzing with all of the notifications start coming through.  🤦🏽‍:female_sign:

By far, this is the worst update/issue I've ever experienced with any of my Fitbits.

@BNeighbors- They don't make announcements generally.

@Guy_ thank you.  Would you be able to tell me how you pushed it to a Moderator ad I have had someone from Fitbit respond to a past issue I had on this forum?  If I should have gone to a different site, ease let me know.  Thanks again everyone for your help!!!  😁

Best Answer

@jncallaham- a suggestion, if you get an app version that works for you, don't update it. I'm still on 3.51.1 and don't have any problems nor the new graphs that aren't as good.

Guy - THANK YOU so much for letting me know.  I did not realize it was posting my information.  I think I edited as you suggested but if you see any others, would you kindly let me know?
