Versa 2 not receiving text messages

When I go to Notifications, there are no options for managing text messages at all. Looked on mobile app, web-app and watch itself. No configuration options anywhere. My Android DOES list the Versa 2 as a connected Bluetooth device, and data is sharing fine between the phone and the watch. Just no messages and no way to configure messages.
