Hi there,
I have a new Versa 2 which is linked to my Fitbit account (I switched over from the Versa 1). I set it up on my iPhone today, and was trying to download personal music to the Versa 2. The iPhone app points me to download the desktop app in order to transfer from my PC. I just downloaded the latest version on my Windows 10 laptop, and:
--The Versa 2 is not visible under my account
--When I go to "Set Up a New Device", Versa 2 isn't even an option - only Versa and Versa Lite
This leads me to believe that the Versa 2 is just not recognized by the Windows desktop app? As a result I have no way to connect my new Fitbit to my PC and thus no way to transfer personal music. This is pretty disappointing for a new product release, to make a feature I used on my Versa 1 (and should still be supported) completely unusable.
In other news, this help center article needs to be updated: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2251
The section about downloading the Windows app references the "old" way with Fitbit Connect, which has been deprecated, instead of the current Windows Store app. Yet more confusion to use this feature.

I eventually figured this out (but gosh it is counterintuitive).
When you go to fitbit.com/setup as instructed, you should not download the Windows 10 Fitbit app as initially indicated, instead you need to click PC to get the installer for Fitbit Connect which is a different app. Once you have installed this, it will give you a message saying essentially "this is deprecated and you should switch to the Windows Store app and uninstall this one", but you should ignore this and continue using Fitbit Connect (the old app). Music transfers successfully from this one.
This is a really confusing setup and Fitbit needs to clarify what exactly a Versa user should install to transfer personal music, and remove these conflicting messages in the app itself.

Hi, thanks for your solution! This is the only answer I’ve seen (even from Fitbit employees) that works.
Should you still have your Fitbit Versa connected to your phone during this set up?

Thank you, i use your instructions, but even with the fitbit connect app, i haven't been able to connect the versa 2. The PC keeps searching for the device and it takes forever. I also tried to connect the pc with the versa2 by bluetooth, but same result. I think (and hope) they should update the app for windows 10 in order to make everything works like before.

Where do I find "Pc" you're talking about?

You scroll down the page and it's in small print.
This still isn't working for me...it just links to the same fitbit APP...any ideas?
