Versa 2 not showing the correct amount of steps after syncing

I am new to Fitbit .. I set it up but confused at how to navigate to all that is offered..I walked for 1 1/2 hours this morning..my fit bit showed I walked 7000 steps but when I go to the stats it says I walked 1608 steps..what am I doing wrong. Please help me..I want to get the most from my versa 2. Thanks for your time..Linda

Hi there, @Linda3591. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your new Versa 2. I understand how important is to you to get accurate data. 

Please note what @JohnnyRow has mentioned. To make sure that your Fitbit app reflects the same data as your Versa 2, I recommend you to frequently sync the watch or after every workout you've done.

That is probably that your Fitbit has not synced since your walk.  When it syncs,  then the app should get updated with latest stats from your tracker.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
