I am currently caring for an elderly relative who is not allowed to exercise. So my step count has gone right down. On top of that my Versa 2 isn’t tracking half my steps, which makes it even worse. I know I am not doing as much as normal but I have been monitoring and it certainly misses steps.
Finally the main exercise I am getting is swimming but none of that distance is counted. I look at my step count and it is below 3000 for the day even though I have swum a couple of kilometres and it read about 2800 before my swim literally no steps were added. It did register my swim as exercise however, why can’t it translate the distance into steps surely they should count. Especially as it seems to count steps when I am stirring a pot…

Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community, @Sassygg.
I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Versa 2.
In this case, please visit this article, open the menu "What can I do if my step count seems inaccurate?" and follow the instructions.
In addition, you can restart your Watch by following these steps.
I would like to clarify that a swim exercise counts toward your active minutes and calories burned goals. You don’t earn steps for swimming. Our team is constantly working to improve our products and services but at the moment there are no plans to convert swimming into steps as explained here.

The article cited to reset the tracker does not actually describe HOW to reset the tracker, but only describes the reasons for which one may need to reset. Please post an article that describes in detail how to reset the tracker.
