My versa 2 is on, plugged in, but not charging. It shows it is charging but once disconnected it dies. The app says the battery is empty. It started when there was an update and the very next time i went to plug it in it was doing this. I knowticed when i took it off the charger and put it on it was dead. Ive factory reset it and updated it and that hasn't fixed anything. At first it wouldnt come on at all but i did a trick that simulates the other models charger that has a button on it. I just disconnected the usb cable from the power box 3 times in five seconds and it came on. Any advice and what my next step should be here.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @ThisGuy14. I'm sorry to hear your Versa 2 is not charging.

To confirm your device is charging, see How do I charge my Fitbit device? If your battery stopped charging, try the solutions below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Make sure you use the charging cable that came with your device, as most cables aren't compatible with other devices.

Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?

  • Restart your device. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Please let me know how it goes.

I have tried all of that already... ive searched the internet and have tried everything. Ive seen others experience the same issue with different models. It says its charging. It shows the battery bar moving to show its charging but it just wont charge. But yet it has power to stay on while connected to the charger but the moment i remove it from the charger it shuts off. I feel one issue may be that when i factory reset it then update it it still has all the same apps and clockfaces almost as if the factory reset did nothing.
