Versa 2 real time steps in Exercise app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The Versa 2 Exercise App currently only has the ability to display calories, elapsed time, heart rate, time of day and lap time statistics in real time during workout. Users also have an option for real time step counts during a workout and not just as part of workout summary in Fitbit app or the general days summary on the home display.

Hi there @GIGMommy, welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the real stats you want to see on your Versa 2 during your exercises.

I've moved your post from our Feature Suggestion board to Versa smartwatches as your steps can bee seeing in real time while you exercise. If you don't see your steps at this time, you'll need to customize the stats shown on the scree, to do so, see: How do I see different stats during exercise?

Hello and thank you for the additional information. While it is true that the real time step count stat is available on certain exercises, like Walk and Run, it is not on all (see Workout or Interval Workout). Why are stats options different based on the exercise type? I believed we should have the option to select any stats for any exercise type.

Hi there @GIGMommy, thanks for getting back. Note that this is the way it works when you are tracking your exercises. The information shown will change depending on the nature of the exercise. I'm afraid to say that there is not an option to change this, however your steps still be counted for your daily totals.

In this case, the best place to make your voice heard is our Feature Suggestion board. Please take a moment to visit and give us your feedback. Please try to make your suggestion a bit clearer than this one as this was a little confusing and that's why it was moved from there to here.

If you find that a similar suggestion has already been made by another member of the community, you can vote for their idea and add your comments. We look forward to reading your suggestions.

Right now I am not able to check real time without stopping my current. Knowingly what time of the day is critical as well when in exercise mode. Pls consider having this option. Thank you

Hi there @Valjeankhoo, welcome on board. Thanks for the details provided in your post and sharing that you'd like to see the time of the day on your Versa 2 while doing exercises.

We know how important is for us to check the time while we exercise, that's why this feature/option has been already implemented on our Fitbit devices and watches.

On Versa series, you can also customize the stats shown on the screen:

  1. On your watch, open the Exercise app
  2. Swipe through the list of exercises to find the one you want to customize.
  3. Tap the gear iconin the top left > Customize Stats
  4. Make your choices for the top, middle, and bottom stats.
  5. Press the back button to return to the exercise screen.
  6. Tap the exercise screen, and then tap the play icon
  7. to start the workout.
